ผู้บริหารบริษัทเหมืองแร่ลาวเยี่ยมชมเหมืองทองคำ

เมื่อวันที่ 10-11 กรกฎาคม 2553 คุณเวียงไชย บุณทะลาด ประธานบริษัท สินนิยม ไมนิ่ง จาก สปป. ลาว พร้อมคณะนักวิชาการ รวม 9 คน ได้เข้าเยี่ยมชมการดำเนินงานของเหมืองทองคำภูทับฟ้า ของบริษัท ทุ่งคำ จำกัด เพื่อศึกษาการดำเนินงานเหมืองแร่ ตั้งแต่ขั้นตอนการสำรวจ การทำเหมือง กระบวนการผลิตแร่ และมาตรการป้องกันผลกระทบสิ่งแวดล้อม ซึ่งคุณดิเรก รัตนวิชช์ กรรมการผู้จัดการ และคุณสมศักดิ์ โพธิสัตย์ ที่ปรึกษา พร้อมด้วยเจ้าหน้าที่ของบริษัทได้ให้การต้อนรับและนำชม รวมทั้งให้ข้อมูลต่าง ๆ อย่างละเอียด
บริษัท สินนิยม ไมนิ่ง เป็นผู้ถือสัมปทานการสำรวจและพัฒนาแร่ทองคำและโลหะอื่น ๆ ครอบคลุมพื้นที่เกือบห้าร้อยตารางกิโลเมตร ทางตะวันออกของเมืองเซโปน แขวงสะหวันนะเขต ซึ่งมีสภาพการณ์ทางธรณีวิทยาที่คล้ายคลึงกับเหมืองทองแดง-ทองคำของบริษัท ล้านช้าง มิเนอรัล ที่ได้เปิดการทำเหมืองมาตั้งแต่ปี 2545 จนถึงปัจจุบัน และบริษัท สินนิยม ได้สำรวจพบทองคำในพื้นที่แล้วหลายแห่ง ขณะนี้ อยู่ระหว่างการเจรจากับ บมจ. ทุ่งคา ฮาเบอร์ เพื่อการร่วมลงทุนสำรวจและประเมินศักยภาพแร่ในพื้นที่สัมปทานนี้
หลังการเยี่ยมชม บริษัท ทุ่งคำ จำกัด ยังได้ให้ความอนุเคราะห์จัดการฝึกสอนการใช้โปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์ในสำรวจและประมวลผล ให้กับนักธรณีวิทยาของลาวเป็นเวลา 5 วันด้วย เพื่อเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของความร่วมมือ และจะพื้นฐานในการปฏิบัติงานร่วมกันในอนาคต

Executives of Laotian Mining Company Visited Tungkum Mine

          During July 10-11, 2010, Khun Viengxay Bounthalath, Chairman of Sinniyom Mining Company Limited from Lao PDR together with the company’s technical team have visited Phu Thab Fah gold mine of Tungkum Limited to familiarize themselves with gold mining operation, starting from exploration, mining, ore processing, and environmental protection measures. Mr. Direck Rattanavich, Tungkum Managing Director, and Mr. Somsak Potisat, Technical Advisor, and a number of Tungkum employees welcomed the Laotian group and guided them through various operating sections in the mine.
Sinniyom Mining has been granted an exploration and development concession from Laotian government covering almost 500 square kilometers just east of Sepon town in Savannakhet in which potentials of gold and other metallic minerals have been identified. Geologic setting of the concession area largely resembles that of copper-gold mine belonging to Lane Xang Minerals Limited which has operated continuously since 2002. Furthermore, Sinniyom has carried out preliminary exploration enabling delineation of several gold potential targets. With encouraging findings, Tongkah Harbour is negotiating with Sinniyom Mining to formulate a collaborative working program for future work.
A practical training program on modern computer applications for Sinniyom’ geologists was also organized, focusing on exploration data collection and evaluation. This would benefit both parties and form the basis for future cooperation in the concession area.
